Virtual Enterprise Class at Redlands High School

The ROP Virtual Enterprise class at Redlands High School, taught by Melissa Dix, had their Grand Opening for this year's business, “Lights, Camera, Dinner!” on Tuesday, April 27.  This was the culmination of a yearlong class where the students worked together to develop a "virtual" startup business.  This year's business, "Lights, Camera, Dinner!", represents the concept of a restaurant within a movie theater. The students worked in teams to write a business plan, create a catalog of products, build a website, establish an accounting system, etc.  During the year they attended several trade show competitions where they "sold" their product and competed with other Virtual Enterprise businesses from all over California.  This year they won multiple awards for their Salesmanship and Trade Fair Booth Design.  Way to go Mrs. Dix and Virtual Enterprise students - we are proud of you!
